Either way, here is the before picture:
And a few afters.
Isn't she a beauty?!
The gentleman who sold her to me was very kind and helped me load her into my car, DANG is she heavy!!
The top was sanded down and stained with Dark Walnut (my fav!) and the base was painted in ASCP Paris Gray and lightly distressed. She came with a fitted glass topper so that's why the top looks so shiny although I did do three coats of polycrylic to make sure it was well protected.
I love it! What do you think?

Stacy, YOur dresser is a real french beauty! What a lovely job!
The dark top makes this substantial piece look so rich!
YOu have a wonderful blog! I have had the best time perusing a few posts!
So nice to meet you!
Yvonne
Very nice. How did you like painting a whole dresser with ASCP? I've yet to do a whole dresser. I did try a corner hutch in old white but it turned out very creamy and I stopped half way thru as I didn't like it and it took a few coats. Weird, maybe it's just that color? I have painted other smaller pieces in different colors and all seemed to go great! Good luck, I wonder how long this ASCP craze will last?
